Scholarship AnnouncementSTUDENT AND JUNIOR PRACTITIONER / RESEARCHER SCHOLARSHIPSScholarship applications are being accepted through March 24, 2023 for any eligible students and junior practitioners/researchers to attend SAR’s 2023 conference (reduced registration and travel award stipends are available). To improve community engagement and foster the growth of next-generation acupuncture researchers, we are pleased to offer scholarships with support from the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH). Reduced rate conference registration scholarships, combined with 1 year of SAR membership, and travel stipends are available to students and junior practitioners/researchers in attending the event. CRITERIA Scholarships are limited to applicants who meet ONE of these criteria:
Current conference registrants are NOT eligible to receive registration scholarships, so please wait to register until you have received notification about your application status. Applicants who have been approved to present a poster or oral abstract at the conference will receive highest priority, in addition to applicants who identify as representing a historically under-represented group. We have ~30 scholarships available for this conference. Scholarships will be awarded based on each application’s overall qualifications. Not all qualifications below are required…simply provide as much information along these lines so that our Scholarship Committee may evaluate your application in relation to others we receive.:
APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 24, 2023. Scholarship applicants will be notified by April 7, 2023 and will be given a registration discount code to register for the conference online, reducing the registration fee to $250. We encourage submitting applications as early as possible. If your application is not approved for a scholarship, regular conference rates are available through April 30, 2023 (registration rates increase after April 30, 2023).
